Doraville is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 10,330 at the 2010 census. It is a northern suburb of Atlanta.
Doraville was incorporated on December 15, 1871. The town was named for Doraville Assembly, a former Ford Motor Company assembly plant. The plant, now known as Doraville Assembly, was the first Ford assembly plant in the southeastern United States, and was in operation from 1947 to 1982.
Doraville is home to the General Motors Doraville Assembly Plant, which was built in 1947 and closed in 2008. The site is currently being redeveloped as a mixed-use development called Assembly.
Doraville is also home to the headquarters of the Waffle House chain of restaurants.
The city is served by the MARTA rail system, with two stations in Doraville. Doraville is the northern terminus of MARTA’s North Line.
