Sugar Hill GA Parks

sugar hill parksWhen people are thinking of moving to Sugar Hill, they often ask about park.  So we wanted to come up with a list of Sugar Hill GA Parks for those of you thinking of relocating to Sugar Hill.

The Gary Pirkle Park is located at 6195 Austin Garner Road in Sugar Hill. One of the unique features of this 67 acres park is the 90’s Solar Powered Shelter Pavilion over the huge playground. What these solar panels do is power the fans on the ceiling to allow kids to still have fun during the summer. The park also has a concessionaire and picnic venues, as well as a Community Garden and Activity Barn. Football players also play or practice their games in one of the 5 multi-purpose fields.

E.E. Robinson Park, (850 Level Creek Rd) on the other hand, has two softball fields, tennis courts, little league fields, beach volleyball courts, and tee ball fields, all of which have sports lighting so games and sporting events can still be held during the night. Other than these sporting arenas, there is also a playground, as well as a jogging trail, and a concession stand.

Not necessarily a Sugar Hill GA Park, but still on the list. Those who love golf can go to the Sugar Hill Golf Club, an 18-Hole Course found in 6094 Suwanee Dam Road. This golf range is beautifully landscaped and is situated below the North Georgia Mountains. Golfers can enjoy delicious food as well at the Bar and Grill inside the club after a day of golfing.

One of the most picturesque parks in Sugar Hill is the Sugar Hill Town Green (5030 West Broad Street). In this park, a gazebo, picnic area, the Veteran’s Memorial, and Verdin town clock can be seen. Many couples take their wedding photos in here because of the lush greenery and beautiful scenery.

Lastly, movie screenings, concerts, and other outdoor activities are held in the Sugar Hill City Lawn and Amphitheatre. It can accommodate up to a thousand people and has a stage big-enough to be considered as concert-size. A grand wedding can also be held here for the residents of Sugar Hill as the city allows the amphitheatre to be rented by locals.

There are actually some smaller would-be Sugar Hill GA Parks not on the list.  Feel free to comment and let us know.  Thanks!
