"LawrencevilleWhat To Look For When Hiring A Real Estate Agent To Sell Your Home

Sometimes we at the Jarvis Team members will sit with a potential home selling client and will tell them all about what we do to get homes sold and they respond with, “yeah the other agent said that.” Our values separate us and integrity is doing what you will say you will do. I had to screen capture this image for you because this home will be under contract and off our site but thought you might get a kick out of seeing our marketing of a Lawrenceville home for sale (located in Ivey Pointe) vs another agent. Not sure if it’s worth of badmlsphotos.com or or not, but it’s still pretty funny.

Our photo and listing is on the left at $175,000 and theirs in on the right.

With this in mind we thought we’d come up with some quick things on What To Look For When Hiring A Real Estate Agent To Sell Your Home.

  1. Track Record – How many homes have they sold, do they have proof (so you can see the photos)

  2. Full Time – Do they do this for a living or a hobby/part time job? Would you want any other professional to do work for you that is their hobby?

  3. What’s their business look like? – We’re biased to a team because you don’t want to make a 6 figure decision with a jack of all trades and a master of none. However, if you have a great single agent that matches other criteria then that could work.

  4. What’s their Values? – No one ever asks this, yet when polled the #1 characteristic people look for when hiring a real estate agent is honesty. Ever asked someone if they are honest? I bet their face would give you an honest answer.

There’s a lot of things we could write about what to look for when hiring a real estate to agent to sell your home, but we think if you carefully interview and look for these 4 things you’ll be better off.
