The city is home to the Atlanta Falcons football team’s training facility, Flowery Branch High School, and a campus of Lanier Technical College.

The city’s name is derived from a small branch of the Chattahoochee River that flows through the city. Flowery Branch was originally settled in the 1840s, and was originally known as Mule Town because of the many mule traders who passed through the city.

In the late 19th century, the city was home to a large number of sawmills and other timber-related businesses. The city’s population exploded in the 1990s, as the city was annexed by the city of Gainesville and became a bedroom community for Gainesville and Atlanta.

The city is home to a variety of businesses and industries, including a number of high-tech companies. The city is also home to a number of parks and recreation facilities, including the Flowery Branch Historic Train Depot, which is a popular tourist destination.
